Secretary: Rob Schorr

Rob Schorr

I grew up along the San Joaquin-Sacramento River Delta in northern California counting the days until the next backpack trip in the Sierra Nevada. My interest in wildlife began during my elementary and junior high years when my father took seasonal jobs in Yellowstone and Bryce Canyon National Parks. These experiences led me to an undergraduate degree in biology from the University of California, Davis, and I supplemented my training by working field jobs in California, Washington, and Tennessee. Eventually, I earned my Master's degree from the University of Georgia and am currently a research scientist for the Colorado Natural Heritage Program and instructor at Colorado State University. I have been a member of WBWG since 2003and a member of and webmaster for the Colorado Bat Working Group since 2002. When I'm not pondering bat population mysteries, you'll find me studying Preble's meadow jumping mouse ecology, pulling a muscle on the softball diamond, or admiring a bottle of New Belgium brew.
